We’re looking for a lead data engineer to help develop and maintain our data environment. 

The successful candidate will lead initiatives on data ingestion, security, storage, transformations, database design, governance, performance, and data architecture. 

The role involves leading and mentoring a team through the entire application lifecycle (concept, design, test, release, and support). 

• Lead and mentor a data engineering function 
• Gather specific requirements and suggest solutions 
• Troubleshoot and debug to optimise performance 
• Ensure new, and legacy applications meet quality standards 
• Represent the data department as a tech lead 
• Integrate new data sources 
• Maintain the data catalog 
• Build effective data pipelines
